Nice race, however in response to others, my gps had 2.97 miles and for a 5k its usually a bit over 3.15. Maybe course was a bit short, but I still had a good time.

I was told by others that had on a GPS watch that it wasn't quite a 5K. I don't know for sure if it was myself, but I was hoping it wasn't short of a 5K. Hopefully whoever reads this knows this for next yr. so that the course can be measured for a 5K. I am not critisizing, but when you run races and it says 5K, you are hoping for time sake that it is a full 5K. Otherwise, this is race I look forward to all yr because how well it is organized and everyone is friendly. Thanks again!

I hit enter to soon..I just wanted to say that this race is by far one of the nicest runs I do! It has a great sense of community and I am so thankful to be able to be a part of this! Thank you all for putting on such a wonderful run!

I was wondering if anyone else felt that the route was not a full 5k? My Ipod measured it as 3 flat. I don't know if I started it exactly at the gun but even if I was a little late that wouldn't cover a 1/10 of a mile.

Great day for a race again and well organized. I just wanted to make sure I got the right medal though; my name was announced for second place in my age group, but on the results paper it said I placed 3rd. Also, there was someone who placed in the wrong age group which means she should have been in 40-49, but placed second in 30-39. Either way, I love running this race and hope to do it again next yr. It will be my 10th time running the VA, just not consecutive. I took one yr off when I had my son and another when I had foot surgery. I was listed under Johnson when I first started running and now Kaczmarek. Thanks again!
